When John, a foundling child with a secret benefactor, becomes a brilliant PhD student who discovers the world is under threat, no one will listen. Caught in a battle with Dr Franklyn, the twisted academic who wants to silence him and struggling against the sense of abandonment revealed by the mystery of his beginnings, John is spiralling toward despair when gifted the truth of his past, and the spiritual prophecy, which inextricably links to the catastrophic future revealed by his research. With time running out, John realizes he has no choice but to go forward, embarking on the journey his heritage has illuminated for him, determined to unravel the converging languages of mythology, religion and science, to find not only the answer to save the world from impending disaster, but also the mother lost to him so very long ago.
