Stargazey World by Christine Dawe
Told with humour, pace and IT wizardry, Stargazey World is a modern fantasy adventure novel for mid range children. Sheena Robinson is a feisty, complex youngster who often feels guilty about her daydreams and lack of concentration. At school she is teased because of her uncontrollable mop of tangled green hair. But she has the ready wit and true grit to deal with her bullies. When she visits Cornwall for a family wedding, she shares a bunk bed with her cousin, Carys. By day, everything is normal but at night the animals from the bedroom wallpaper come to life and take the girls on startling adventures around Stargazey World.
The youngsters and their super hero animals face desperate battles against bizarre creatures and climatic hazards. All seems lost when the IT remote control of their helicopter bunk bed explodes. The cousins are trapped in a no-man’s land at the other end of the earth. Can a slice of wedding cake be the answer to this terrifying nightmare?
