Six people, who work in Research and Development at a tech company in the South West of England, have all volunteered to become guinea pigs to test a brain implant that allows users to record and download the memories of the things they have seen to share with others via a mobile phone app.

Six people, who work in Research and Development at a tech company in the South West of England, have all volunteered to become guinea pigs to test a brain implant that allows users to record and download the memories of the things they have seen to share with others via a mobile phone app.

The first six chapters introduce us to these characters and their families. They all lead very different lives and find that the implant and app can be used in many different ways.

Over the same weekend, at different locations, they download their memories of the two days.

When reviewing their memories with family, friends and work colleagues they begin to realise that they have inadvertently recorded events and characters connected with two crimes that have been committed in the area. A baby has been kidnapped and, unconnected, a man has died in suspicious circumstances.

The crimes are quickly solved with the help of their evidence.

We then see how the lives of our main characters and their families continue and improve over the next couple of years. The implant continues to be useful in a variety of ways.
