The Writers Internet

36c237b8-1069-47cf-9978-3696cf8f3877

The internet is a major market for all kinds of writing, from business writing to full-length fiction; whatever your genre, you will find a wide, and profitable, range of market opportunities. The important skill is to know how to look for them, and how to establish your own internet presence to the point that market opportunities eventually come looking for you. Internet markets materialise, change, and come and go far more rapidly than is the case with print media and by the end of this year, the range of market opportunities in any genre will look very different than it did in January.

And the writing skills needed to write for internet markets also differ from those usually seen in print. Crisp, concise and clear is how Sarah-Beth Watkins defines internet skills, which is more a refinement on print writing styles than a difference, but it is vital to get it right.
