The Writer's Treasury of Ideas

6e9e7e80-a68c-490f-bdc2-a2a0f4d3247a

The principle behind this new book from Linda Lewis is that ideas are the basic currency of fiction writers. No ideas, no stories. If you cannot keep coming up with new ideas, then you cannot keep generating new stories.   So where do all these ideas keep coming from? Mostly, they come from your own experience – and that can include the experience of reading news items or the experience of overhearing conversations. But you need to know how to mine that experience and how to recognise ideas that have strong story potential.

Linda Lewis’ The Writer’s Treasury of Ideas shows you how to go about mining your own experience and coming up with ideas. We have all taken summer holidays, spent Christmases with our families, experienced illness, read our horoscopes, and had hundreds of experiences of one kind or another every day. Linda shows how to review those simple things, to analyse the nature of such experiences, and to translate them into saleable ideas.
