Writing tips from famous authors

These words of wisdom were the best thing to land in WM's in-box this morning, so we thought we'd share them

They include Mark Twain's priceless advice to: 'Substitute "damn" every time you're inclined to write "very;" your editor will delete it and the writing will be just as it should be.'
