This year's competition is for stories and poems on the theme of 'Celebration'
The competition from the Women's Library in Glasgow is sharing Book Week Scotland's theme of 'Celebration', and invites entries of stories and poems up to 1,000 words.
Shortlisted writers will be invited to read their works at an online Bold Types Creative Writing Showcase in November. Winners will be announced on the night. Prizes include mentoring and books.
The competition is for writing by women (inclusive of trans and intersex women as well as gender fluid and non-binary people) who were born in Scotland or who live/have llived in Scotland.
Writers may submit once in each category.
Entry is free.
The closing date is 14 October.
