New specialist children's and YA literary agency and consultancy Skylark Literary is looking for new talent in writing for children
The Magical Competition is for fiction aimed at middle-grade readers (aged 8-12). The prize is a one-to-one editorial critique of the finished manuscript.
All entries must be unpublished, and submitted by unagented writers. To enter, send the first three chapters and a synopsis by email. The competition is free to enter. The closing date is 24 December.
Skylark Literary is accepting submissions from writers for children looking for literary representation. Submissions may be in any area of writing for children from books for emerging readers (5+) to YA novels. Picture book submissions are not accepted. Writers should send the complete manuscript, a one-page synopsis and an introductory email.
