The Scottish children's book prize is accepting entries until 28 February
The Kelpies Prize is awarded each year by Floris Books for new Scottish novels for children. For the first time, this year's prize features a new category: Kelpies Teen.
The winning author's book will be published by Floris Books and the author will receive £2,000.
The winner may be selected from any of the award categories: Young Kelpies (6-8 year-olds); Kelpies (8-11 year-olds) and Kelpies Teen (11-14 year-olds).
All entries should be set wholly or mainly in Scotland and have Scottish characters or themes.
The closing date to enter the Kelpies Prize 2015 is 28 February.
