Brian Allen Carr is offering to reward the writer of the best (worst?) review of his short story collection on Amazon

Sock-puppeting shenanigans caused such a furore in the writing community last year that Amazon has since installed a sytem for detecting and flagging reviews it suspects. But Brian, having noted a particularly harsh review of his Short Bus collection (that included: 'You basically suck as an author and I hope you never publish a book again!!'), decided to have some fun with the practice.

He has announced the Lone Star Contest, offering free copies of all his books to the writer of the best one-star review.

Writers have until the end of February to post their bad reviews - that's if Amazon doesn't remove them!
