The James Patterson Co-Author Writing competition is open to students (US only) enrolled on James' online MasterClass.
Ten competition semi-finalists will each win $1,000. Three competition finalists will each win $2,500 and be asked to submit outlines for their book ideas.
The competition is for great ideas for potential mass-market bestsellers by mystery or thriller writers. To submit, eligible writers should send a one-page summary, a sample chapter and a two-sentence hook.
The closing date is 22 March.
