Three new fiction awards have been announced by Festival of Romance, the UK's first convention for romantic fiction.
The Festival of Romance will take place between 21 and 22 October in Watford. The Festival of Romance Reader Awards for Best Romantic Novel and Best Historical Novel will be judged by readers. All authors attending the festival will be sent details of how to enter their books for these awards. Shortlists will be announced on 10 October.
The Festival of Romance New Talent Award is open to unpublished romantic novelists attending the festival. Attending writers, who will be sent details of how to enter, should submit an opening chapter to an original romantic novel of any genre.
The winners in all three categories will be be announced at the Festival of Romance Ball on 22 October.
