A FREE event hosted by the Poetry Society offers big names at the Southbank Centre on 6 October

Enjoy a FREE celebration of all things poetry at National Poetry Day Live, presented by The Poetry Society at the Southbank Centre  on 6 October, 1pm-6.45pm. Stand by to receive and respond as you celebrate the 2016 National Poetry Day theme of ‘Messages’ with a non-stop interchange of live poetry and spoken word in the Southbank Centre’s Clore Ballroom, hosted by Inua Ellams and Indigo Williams.

This year features readings from Mercury Prize-winning artist PJ Harvey. The annual free celebration of the UK’s thriving poetry scene is part of London Literature Festival and features a packed programme of live performances by top poets and free activities for the public, all on the theme of ‘messages’.
