Stories between 1,000 and 5,000 words may be entered
There are prizes of £300, £150 and £50. All winners will be published on The Short Story website, where the top three stories of each contest, since it began in 2011, may be read.
Only one story is accepted per entrant. Submissions should not be novel extracts, poetry, sci-fi, fantasy or stories for children.
There is a fee of £5 per entry.
The closing date is 15 September.
