Short stories are invited in any speculative fiction genre on the theme of 'first contact'
The Book Smugglers Publishing in the US is looking for original, unpublished short stories from all around the world. It is looking to publish at least three short stories unified by a single theme between April and June 2015.
Stories may be adult, young adult or middle grade fiction, and may be between 1,500 and 17,500 words.
Selected writers will be paid $0.06c per word up to a maximum of $500.
The closing date is 31 December.
