The Cro Magnon online literary journal invites entries for its first short story competition
The starting point for The Cro Magnon's Primitive Humanity creative writing competition is the quotation by Gustav Flaubert: 'The more humanity advances, the more it is degraded.'
Short stories should have as their focus an essentially primitive example of humanity. Stories entered for the Primitive Humanity competition must be original and unpublished, and should be no more than 3,000 words.
There is a prize for the winner of £100 and their story will be published on The Cro Magnon website.
The closing date is 31 September.
