Stories for the competition may be up to 1,000 words, on any theme.
Writers must be based in Easy Yorkshire.
The winning stories in two categories (16 and over, under 16) will be broadcast on Vixen 101 Radio and both winners will get £15 in vouchers from Pocklington's Burnby Hall Gardens. The closing date is 15 July.
Telling Tales is a monthly one-hour programme dedicated to creative writing from community radio station Vixen 101.
Vixen 101 station manager Paul Stellings said: 'Creative writing has been a growing part of our output so it was a logical progression to devote more time to work with local writers. There’s nothing quite like the buzz of having your stories or poems broadcast and I look forward to more writers submitting their work.'
Stories and poems by East Yorks writers for Telling Tales may be submitted by email.
