Check out these two great opportunities for new theatre writing

The 2016 Adrian Pagan Award from The King's Head Theatre is for plays that capture the zeitgeist in any exciting and thought-provoking way. New writing, revivals and musicals are all equally welcomed. The winning creative team will receive a full production budget to produce their show at The King's Head Theatre in Upper Street, London. The closing date to submit is 31 July.

Faith Drama Productions' Theatre Madness Challenge is aimed at emerging writer-directors and offers a first prize of a £2,000 commission to write and direct a full-length play for the 2017/2018 season. The challenge is to write a first draft of a short (10-min max) play in a week in response to a word prompt. To enter, submit a CV and up to 20 pages of a stage or radio play and (if possible) a link to work you have directed by the closing date of 27 July.
