Hope Mill Theatre has launched its first playwriting prize, with £5,000 for the winner
In addition to the £5,000 prize, the winning play will produced at Hope Mill Theatre in Manchester in autumn 2021 and the winner will be given mentoring from Jonathan Harvey.
Each shortlisted play will have a scene performed at the finalists' evening in March 2021
To enter send original, unperformed scripts for plays at least an hour long that are available for production. All entries must be fully completed plays for theatrical performance. Any UK writer may enter.
Send the completed play, a brief synopsis, a character list and a 300-word biography.
Entry is free.
The closing date is 27 November.
