Writers for Gutter should be born, or live, in Scotland. The journal prefers provocative work that challenges or reimagines the status quo, or work that relates Scotland to an international context.
Short stories may be up to 3,000 words. Writers may submit up to four stories.
Poets may submit 160 lines maximum.
Gutter is edited by Adrian Searle and Colin Begg, and published by Freight Books.
The closing date for submissions is 31 October.
