The Search for a Bestseller competition is for first-time authors of a novel in any genre, aimed at adults. The winning writer will be offered a publishing deal worth £50,000 from Quercus.
Mark Smith, chief executive of Quercus Publishing plc, said: 'Quercus is thrilled to be working with Richard and Judy to discover a new author and launch their writing career. We know there is a wealth of undiscovered talent out there and we are excited to start the search today.'
Writers are asked to submit 10,000-12,000 words plus a 1,000-word synopsis through the Richard and Judy Book Club website by the closing date of 1 January.
