The international Scottish poetry prize is open for entries for this year's contest
There is a main prize of £1,500, with a runner-up prize of £400 and eight additional prizes of £25.
There are also Scots and Scottish Gaelic Prizes, each with £250 to be won.
The competition is for original, unpublished poems up to 40 lines. Writers may enter the same poem for more than one part of the competition. There is a fee of £6.50 per entry, or £17 for three.
The closing date for the Wigtown Poetry Competition is 29 May.
The Wigtown Book Festival will take place between 25 September and 4 October.
