This year's competition for nature poetry will be judged by Ian McMillan
The Rialto Nature and Place Poetry Competition is being run by The Rialto poetry journal in association with the RSPB, Birdlife International, Cambridge Conservation Initiative and The University of Leeds Poetry Centre. It is inviting entries of poems in any style or form, on any aspect of nature and place.
There is a first prize of £1,000 and second and third prizes of £500 and £250.
Poems may be up to 40 lines, and must be original and unpublished.
Writers may enter up to six poems in one batch. The entry fee for the first poem in a batch is £7, and £4 for any subsequent poems in the same batch.
The closing date is 1 March 2023.
