The winner's portfolio will be published as a pamphlet and they will receive £1,000
The new award from the Michael Marks Awards for Poetry Pamphlets is for a portfolio of poems (150-200 lines in total) on the theme of 'the environment and the place of the human with in it' by UK poets. All poems must be orginal and must not have been previously published together as a sequence.
The winner will receive publication of their portfolio as a pamphlet, a place on a winners' residential trip to Greece, £1,000 and an invitation to read at an Envronmental Poet of the Year event at Wordsworth Grasmere. The judges are Helen Mort, John Aitchison and Jane Caven.
Entry is free.
The closing date is 1 September.
