Poetry Prize: The Michael Marks Award for Poetry Pamphlets 2018

The Awards recognise the importance of pamphlets in contemporary poetry publishing

The Michael Marks Awards for Poetry Pamphlets, which are run by the Wordsworth Trust and the British Library with the support of the Michael Marks Charitable Trust, are in four categories:

The Michael Marks Poetry Award is for an outstanding pamphlet published between August 2017 and the closing date. There is a prize of £5,000 and the winner will be offered the chance to be CHS Michael Marks Poet in Residence at its summer activities in Greece.

The Michael Marks Publishers Award recognises and outstanding publisher of poetry in pamphlet form. The prize is £5,000.

The Michael Marks Poetry in a Celtic Language Award is new for 2018 and offers a £2,000 prize for the best poetry pamphlet published in Welsh, Scottish, Gaelic, Irish, Cornish or Manx Gaelic in the preceding year.

The Michael Marks Illustration Award offers a £1,000 prize for the most outstanding illustration of a poetry pamphlet published in the preceding year.

The closing date is 13 September.
