Win a £1,000 first prize in the annual contest from Ledbury Poetry Festival

The Ledbury Poetry Competition is inviting entries of original, unpublished poems up to 40 lines. This year's judge is Joelle Taylor, winner of the 2022 T.S. Eliot Prize.

'I'm excited... to welcome poetry that surprises, that twists, that speaks to the hidden truths, and stands up for humanity,' said Joelle. 'A poetry that is wild, powerful and diverse in theme and narrative.'

The first prize is £1,000 and an Arvon poetry course. There are second and third prizes of £500 and £250.
