The contest from StoryTown Corsham is for poems on the theme of 'Doorways'
The competition, which is part of StoryTown Corsham's annual celebration of reading, writing and storytelling, is now in its third year. This year it invites poems that interpret the theme of 'Doorways' in any way.
In the adult category, there are prizes of £500, £200 and £50. In the 11-17 year old category, the prizes are £50, £25 and £10, and in the under 11s category, £25, £15 and £10. Winners will be invited to read their poems on The Poetry Place show on West Wilts Radio. All shortlisted poets will be invited to read their poems at a prize-giving event.
The entry fee in the adult category is £4 for one poem and £10 for three. In the young poets' categories, entry is free.
The closing date is 31 January 2023.
