There are ten prizes of £100 to be won in the contest for spiritual poetry
The competition celebrates the 600th anniversary of the founding of the Collegiate Church which grew into Manchester Cathedral.
This year's Manchester Cathedral Poetry Competition is for poems that connect with the Cathedral in some way. Enter original, unpublished poems no longer than 15 lines in any style or form that are broadly religious or spiritual in some way. Poetry from different faith traditions, and poems from people struggling to discover a sense of the sacred, are very welcome.
Ten winners will each be awarded £100, and the winning poems will be published in a celebration booklet.
Entry is free.
The closing date is 30 September 2021.
