Poetry prize: Magma Poetry Competition 2021/22

There are first prizes of £1,000 in each of two categories

The annual Magma Poetry Competition has categories for the Editors' Prize, poems up to 10 lines, and The Judge's Prize, which is for poems between 11 and 50 lines. This year the Judge's Prize will be judged by Marvin Thompson.

In each category, there is a first prize of £1,000, a second prize of £300 and a third prize of £150. The six winning poems will be published in Magma. Winners and special mentions will be invited to read at an event in spring 2022.

The entry fee is £5 for the first poem, £4 for the second poem and £3.50 for any subsequent poem, with reduced fees for Magma subscribers. All entries must be original and unpublished.
