Win a £600 first prize in the competition for poems up to 70 lines

The Buzzwords Poetry Competition is run by the Cheltenham-based poetry organisation, which runs gatherings, open mic nights and workshopping sessions.

The competition is for original, unpublished poems in any style, up to 70 lines. The first prize is £600, and there is a runner-up prize of £300. Five commended poets will each win £50, and there is also a £200 Gloucestershire Prize for the best poem by a Gloucestershire resident. This year's judge is Penelope Shuttle.

The entry fee is £4 per poem or three poems for £10.

The closing date is 22 August 2020.
