The William Soutar Prize is run by Perth & Kinross Council's Library and Information Services, and is awarded on alternate years for short stories and poetry. This year the prize will be given for poetry. The winner will get a free place on an Arvon course and the runner-up will receive a £100 book token. There will also be a local prize of a £50 book token for the best entry from a resident of Perth & Kinross.
Poems may be up to 40 lines. Poets may submit up to two poems. Entry is free.
The closing date is 23 June.
