Warshan Shire will judge this year's contest, which has a first prize of €6,000

The Moth Poetry Prize is an annual intenational award from Irish literary journal The Moth, which is given for a single unpublished poem.

The first prize is €6,000, and there are three runners-up prizes of €1,000. Eight commended poets will each receive €250. This year's judge is acclaimed British-Somali poet Warshan Shire.

Enter original, unpublished poems in any style and of any length.

The entry fee is €15 per poem.

The closing date is 31 December 2021.
