The annual award from The Poetry Society is one of the biggest prizes for poets between 11 and 17
Every year The Poetry Society selects 100 prizewinners - 15 top winners and 85 commended. The top winners are invited to a residential Arvon course, or to receive mentoring from a professional poet, and their poems are published in a print anthology which is distributed to schools, libraries and poetry enthusiasts. All winners will be invited to an awards ceremony and their work will be published in an online anthology. They will also win youth membership of The Poetry Society, goody bags and ongoing support.
This year's judges are Jonathan Edwards and Jane Yeh.
