The theme for this year's competition is 'My Mind, My Thoughts'

Enter original, unpublished poems up to 45 lines. The judges include James Nash, Wendy Pratt and Matthew Hedley Stoppard.

In the adult category, there is the Larkin Prize of £500, and second and third prizes of £200 and £100. Two writers of highly commended entries will each get £25. The entry fee is £3 per poem.

In the category for school-age poets there is a seconday school prize of £75 and a primary school prize of £50, with a £25 runner-up prize in each school group. Entry is free.
