Poems are invited from writers who live or work regularly in the West Midlands on the theme of 'home-made, home-grown.' Poets may interpret the theme in any way they like. Poems should be a maximum of 20 lines.
There are two categories: adult and junior. The winner of the adult category will be invited to do a paid gig at the Library of Birmingham, at a time and date to be agreed with the winner. The junior prize winner will receive book tokens.
Poetry on Loan is a West Midlands-based organisation of poets and librarians that champions and supports new poetry.
The closing date for the Poetry on Loan competition is 12 September.
