The winning poet will be published in chapbook form by Loughborough University's Lamplight Press

The Overton Poetry Prize, given in memory of Professor Bill Overton and presented by the School of English, Arts and Drama, is for a sequence of poems on any subject up to 300 lines. It wil be judged by the School's current poet in residence, Helen Calcutt (pictured).

The proceeds from the competition fund an early-career poet in residence at Loughborough University.

Two runners up will each receive £50.

There is an entry fee of £12. The closing date is 31 May.
