Pitches are invited for new plays dealing with lesser-known areas of Scottish history
One playwright will receive a cash grant of £500, research and dramaturgical support as they write a first draft, and rehearsed reading at the 2018 Previously... Scottish history festival.
Pitches should be for plays that are set in Scotland or concern Scottish history. Recent history is as welcome as the more distant past. Writers do not have to be Scottish.
To submit, send a one-page pitch and a sample of up to ten pages of your work (published or unpublished).
Submission is free. The closing date is 31 July.
