Applications are invited for a festival-focused poet in residence for the Poetry in Aldeburgh Festival in November
The Aldeburgh Poetry Festival (organised by The Poetry Trust) is on haitus this year, but collaborative poets' organisation Poetry in Aldeburgh will be running the Poetry in Aldeburgh Festival in the first weekend in November.
The selected poet in residence will attend the festival and also undertake preparation and follow-up work before and after.
Applications are invited for poets at 'an advanced level', which the Poetry Society defines as 'on your way to a pamphlet or first collection'. Applicants do not need to have published a pamphlet or collection. They must be confident users of technology with experience of engaging readers and audiences online, and happy to write reviews and articles.
The fee is £1,000, travel expenses and food. Accommodation is available.
To apply, send an outline of not more than 500 words of why you are interested in the residency and how you would approach it, plus a CV and links to relevant work (poetry and prose).
The closing date for applications is 30 June.
