National Writing Day is a celebration of writing creativity that will take place across the UK

Schools, libraries, writing groups and communities are all invited to get involved in this celebration of creative writing. Arts and culture venues will be holding events, and people are invited to register their own events, whether they take place at a school, workplace, community centre or even living room! The purpose is to encourage people to get writing and share their stories on 21 June.

National Writing Day is a collaborative initiative between writing charity First Story and partner organisations, supported by Arts Council England and Old Possum's Practical Trust.

Creative writing gives people a voice. Let us know what you'll be doing to share yours, and help other people find theirs, at #NationalWritingDay on Twitter @WritingMagazine and on the WM Facebook page.
