Win a £1,500 first prize in the competition for unpublished novelists

This year's shortlist of the international competition for unpublished and self-published novelists will be judged by literary agent Jenny Hewson of Rogers, Coleridge & White. The first prize is £1,500 and there is a prize of a free place on a creative writing course at Moniack Mhor for the best novel from the UK and Ireland.

Enter original, unpublished novels in any genre, at least 50,000 words in length. Writers entering the competition must be unagented. Enter the first 20 pages of the novel plus a 200-word synopsis. Longlisted writers will be asked to submit completed novels by 6 December.

The entry fee is £25 per novel.
