Win £5,000 and representation from Curtis Brown in the competition for unpublished novels by women

The Discoveries Prize has been set up in honour of the 25th anniversary of The Women's Prize by The Women's Prize Trust, NatWest, Curtis Brown Literary Agency and Curtis Brown Creative Writing School to search for talented and original new female writing voices from the UK and Ireland.

The winner will be offered representation by Curtis Brown Literary Agency and £5,000. Runners up and shortlisted writers will be offered personalised packages of mentoring from a Curtis Brown agent or industry expert, and free or discounted places on Curtis Brown Creative writing courses.

To enter, send the first 10,000 words of a novel manuscript plus a synopsis. The novel does not need to have been completed.

Entrants must be women writers from the UK and Ireland, and must not be represented by a literary agent.

Each writer may enter once only.

Entry is free.

The closing date is 17 January 2021.
