Scottish Arts Trust is running a new competition for writers and illustrators of YA fiction part of the Edinburgh Writing Awards
The prize invites entries of novels and graphic novels in any form of genre aimed at young readers of 12 and over.
Enter a 5,000-word extract of of novel or 6-8 page extract of a s graphic novel for teen readers. plus a 300-word synopsis.
The winner will receive £1,500. There are second and third prizes of £500 and £250. The judges are literary agent Louisa Lamont of LBA Literary Agency and graphic novelist Hari Connor.
The entry fee is £15 per work.
The closing date is 28 February.
