Scottish Arts Trust has launched a new competition for non-fiction as part of the Edinburgh Writing Awards
The new prize invites entries of essays, feature writing, travelogues, memoir, reflections and analysis.
Enter original, unpublished essays no longer than 2,000 words. The judges are Mark Jones and Camilla Toulmin.
The winner will receive £1,000. There are second and third prizes of £500 and £250. Winners and runners up will be published in The Edinburgh Essays journal.

The entry fee is £10 per essay.
The closing date is 28 February.
