Radio drama and comedy writers can win a commission to write for BBC Radio 3 & 4

With the newly launched Writer's Prize from BBC Writersroom and BBC Audio and Music the BBC is looking for original, multi-character narrative scripts that feature bold, original stories and characters who engage, challenge and entertain their audience.

Approaches and timings can vary, and might include 45- or 60-minute dramas, 30-minute comedies and studio sitcoms recorded in front of an audience.

Monologues, stand-up routines, one-person shows and adaptations are not eligible for the Writer's Prize.

The closing date is 3 December. All entries must be accompanied by an entry form, and must be previously unproduced and not currently in development or under consideration for development.
