The new contest will be judged by Chris Kinsey, who has been BBC Wildlife Poet of the Year
Poems may be on any subject, and should be no longer than 40 lines.
All entries to the Westhope College Poetry Competition must be original and unpublished.
There is a first prize of £200, and further prizes of £100, £50 and £25.
The entry fee is £4 for the first poem, and £2 for subsequent entries.
The closing date is 1 August.
