Perfect Pitch and Theatre Royal Stratford East will award £12,000 to a new musical writing team
The winners will be given the task of writing a full draft of a new musical show, working towards a professional staged reading or full production. The Perfect Pitch award is open to all writers, and no experience of writing a musical is required. Writers are invited to apply as individuals. Successful candidates will be paired up with a collaborator to work on 10-minute pitches for a musical, which will be presented to a panel of judges.
Applications are accepted until 20 July, and are free up to 10 July.
