Prize draw: The Library of a Lifetime Prize Raffle

Win a book a month for life in Heywood Hill's 80th anniversary lifetime literary prize

Heywood Hill book shop opened at 10 Curzon Street, Mayfair, in 1936 and since then has sold new, old and antiquarian books. Author Nancy Mitford worked there during the second half of World War Two, earning £3 a week, and John le Carré set a scene in Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy in the shop.

To celebrate its 80th anniversary, Heywood Hill's prize draw invites readers to tell them which single book, published in English since 1936 when the shop first opened, has meant most to them.

The winner will receive a lifelong subscription to Heywood Hill's A Year in Books subscription service: a new hardback book, individually chosen to match their reading tastes, sent to them every month for life, wherever they live in the world.

The runner up will receive a year-long subscription to A Year in Books (a hardback book each month for a year) and the third prize winner will receive a A Year in Books – Hardback 6 subscription (a hardback book sent every other month for a year).
