There's still time to enter the festival's poetry contest, judged by Gill McEvoy
There is a first prize of £175, a second prize of £75 and a third prize of £50. Two commended poets will each win £10, and there is a £30 Wirral Prize for the best poem by entered by a poet living, working or studying in the Wirral.
Poems may be in any style and on any subject, and must be original and unpublished.
The entry fee is £4 per poem or £10 for three.
Wirral Festival of Firsts takes place from 30 June to 22 July.
The closing date to enter the Wirral Festival of Firsts Poetry Competition is 2 June.
