Hachette's new creative writing resource The Future Bookshelf includes info about its open submissions window in December
The Future Bookshelf, which launched officially today, aims to open up the writing and publishing process to writers from all backgrounds and all communities. Each month during 2017, The Future Bookshelf will provide information on a different aspect of creative writing via infographics, advice and information from authors, editors, agents and experts from Hachette's Teach Yourself books to help people to write their novel.
On 1 December, The Future Bookshelf will open a submission window for novels and non-fiction projects from new voices from new, unagented and unpublished writers who feel the publishing industry doesn't adequately represent people from their background or experiences. Submitting writers may be from BAME and/or LGBTQ+ communities, from socio-economically marginalised backgrounds or have a disability. Submissions may come from anywhere in the world.
Definitely a writers' site worth bookmarking!
