Win £1,000 and publication in the Observer New Review for an original, unpublished graphic short story

The competition, run by the Observer, Jonathan Cape and Comica, is for graphic short stories designed to run as a four-page story across two double-page spreads in Observer New Review. Stories must be complete in themselves, ie not a fragment of a longer work. Entries may be fiction or non-fiction, in colour or black and white, and with or without words.

The runner up will receive £250 and their story will appear on www.theguardian.com.

The closing date is 29 September.
